Aroma: Anise has a warm, spicy-sweet, licorice like scent.    Anise has excellent odor masking qualities.

Extraction: Steam distillation from seeds.

Benefits: The emotional benefits of
Anise are that it has a strong calming
effect and may promote restful sleep.
The physical benefits of Anise are
that it helps soothe muscular aches,
pains, and rheumatism. Anise is used
to help remove bad odors via diffusion.
Sometimes used by savvy hunters and
fisherman to disguise human odors.

Blends: Cedarwood, Fennel, Rosewood,
and most spice and citrus oils. 

Safety Precautions: Avoid during pregnancy, avoid on sensitive or inflamed skin, avoid if epileptic.
