Aroma: Geranium has a sweet, heavy aroma, like rose with a hint of mint.  The scent is very appealing to both men and women.

Extraction: Oil is obtained through steam
distillation of the flowers, leaves and stalks.

Benefits: Psychological applications for
Geranium include anxiety, depression, and
lack of self-confidence. In addition,
Geranium helps the stress that may cause
lack of appetite.  Geranium is a formidable
insect repellent.  Its essence is the only
one able to protect against a variety of
insects that attack the ankles in the
afternoon.  If you are allergic to insect bites
the essence of Geranium possesses the rare
property of being cortisone-like and quickly
neutralizes the allergic reaction of the poisons. 
Because of this property, it may also alleviate
reactions such as allergic dermatitis and allergic rhinitis. 
As a hormonal and uterine tonic, Geranium helps women during delivery as well as during menopause.  The essence helps to decongest rapidly and deeply, can be quite effective in acute cases of acne.  It has also been successfully used for varicose veins and cellulite.
